Translate demand into a plan

Separate the initial order, expected recurring requirement and forecast period. Forecasts support planning but are not purchase orders. Agree specifications and acceptable variability before reserving production capacity.

Coordinate the whole chain

A programme may include growers, biomass grading, extraction, drying, testing, packing and export. Timing at one stage affects the next. Qualification and contingency routes should reflect the actual agreed responsibilities.

Manage change and evidence

Use a work programme with milestones, reporting, cost assumptions and change control. Confirm stock and lead times in a current quotation. Historical capacity statements should not be treated as a live stock commitment.
