Match identity and batch
Check the product description, sample reference, batch identity, testing date and the relationship between the tested sample and the offered material. A representative certificate illustrates a grade; it is not the actual release certificate for a different batch.
Review method and units
Look at the test method, limits and reported units. Total alkaloids, individual alkaloids, microbiology, moisture and residual solvents answer different questions. Not every document contains every test a buyer needs.
Agree release criteria before production
Set the required specification, acceptance criteria and documentation in the quotation or technical agreement. Keep actual batch evidence linked to the lot supplied. Request additional testing where the existing evidence does not cover your intended use.
