Start with destination and use
State the receiving country, buyer type and intended product format. An ingredient for further processing may need a different document set from a finished consumer pack. No ingredient should be assumed universally approved across markets.
Separate shipping responsibilities
Confirm the shipping basis, importer responsibilities, documentation and who pays freight, duties and taxes in the actual quotation. Availability and landed cost depend on the consignment and destination.
Build the documentation list early
Ask for the specification, applicable safety information and analytical evidence needed by your quality team or importer. Sample shipments also need an accurate description and destination information. Export coordination can be included in a defined supply programme.
